Once mobile, your next priority is to seek out the trainers for the other mentor classes to begin diversifying your build. Completing the Fremen Trials of Aql is also critical, as it unlocks essential survival tools like the Stilltent and the Thumper.

- The Shigawire Slingshot: Combine the Trooper’s Shigawire Cable with a suspensor belt like The Emperor’s Wings. Fire the cable at a high point. As you are being pulled forward, about three-quarters of the way through the pull, activate your suspensor’s jump/glide. The momentum from the cable will be transferred to your glide, launching you forward at incredible speed and across massive gaps.
- Bene Gesserit “Uber Flying”: The Bene Gesserit have a unique sprint ability. If you activate this sprint and then jump off any ledge, you can enter a state of prolonged, high-speed forward flight. By feathering the jump key, you can manage your stamina and cross huge distances of open sand without ever touching the ground, making you completely immune to sandworms.
10.2 Efficiency Hacks: Playing Smarter, Not Harder
Small optimizations can lead to massive gains over time.
- Optimal Dew Harvesting: Water is life, and there is a secret to maximizing your collection. Press ‘T’ to bring up your in-game clock. For a brief period at dawn, a section of the clock will turn light blue. During this window, harvesting Dew Flowers with a Dew Reaper yields a vastly increased amount of water—up to ten times the normal amount. Stockpile empty Literjons and use this time to fill them for days to come.
- Fuel-Efficient Ornithopter Gliding: You can fly your ornithopter across the entire map without using a single drop of fuel. Get to your desired altitude and speed, then stop thrusting. If you use a suspensor belt or the environment to get on top of a container or ledge they cannot climb, they will eventually give up trying to reach you and pull out their much weaker sidearm. When they fire this weapon, their shield drops, leaving their head exposed for easy sniper shots.
- Healing Kit Bonus: The first use of a healing kit in a short period restores significantly more health than subsequent uses. If you take heavy damage, use one kit, then try to find cover and wait a few moments before using a second one. This allows the “first use” bonus to reset, maximizing your healing efficiency.
